Zombie Defense generates its battlefield when a match starts. The changing layout prevents players from relying on the same base plan every game.
From noise to landscape
The generator layers OpenSimplex and value noise over the playable area. Domain warping bends the sample coordinates to produce less regular shapes.
Noise-driven “worms” move through the field and branch into smaller paths. They carve connected corridors and clearings through dense areas.
Thresholds convert the result into Warcraft III tiles, trees, blockers, and open ground. The work is split across short timer steps to avoid freezing the game during setup.
A biome is more than a texture swap
Each biome supplies its own terrain, vegetation, waves, and boss. The generated layout changes available building space, expansion routes, and defensive choke points.
